WORKOUT: Day 13

This is not for you. It’s for me. So if you’re reading, welcome, but really this is not for you. I will be writing to myself.

What do you want to celebrate? Well, it is day 13 of having a home gym set up. This is something that you have been looking into since June of 2020. And it feels good to be able to jump into a workout with very little barriers. When going to the gym it was easy to find excuse to not make it. Not enough time, too busy at a certain time, it’s too early and growing more and more insecure in a gym setting. But since having the home gym set up, you have been way more consistent.

For the past four days you have completed a workout. That is what you should celebrate. The last time you hit four consecutive days of working out has to be about 2 years ago. So be happy with that. Be happy with the space that you have and the accomplishment of 4 days in a row. At the same time, we cannot be complacent. In the next coming days, there will likely be a temptation to miss a day. When that comes let’s do this…

I will remember this post, I will remember what I have celebrated and allow that to help motivate me to get back into the gym. Let’s make it Day 5 in a row tomorrow.
